What is Wellness Coaching?
Wellness coaching offers professional services to help clients set goals by working toward healthy, sustainable changes to live your best life. I start by looking at the strengths you already possess, followed by assessing your current and physical, mental, and emotional state. Because of my background in therapy, I want to make sure you’re a good candidate for coaching. Next, I help you identify your goals, making sure they’re specific and attainable, then together we’ll develop an action plan your goals. Coaching itself is a goal-oriented approach, with you ultimately determining the goals you want to achieve.
I work from a Holistic framework, meaning I use an integrative approach, looking at many different aspects of your life that could be impacting your current challenges to achieve your goals. My role is to support, motivate, and empower you to make the changes you desire, and help you accomplish the goals you set for yourself to live your most authentic life.
I have a special interest in the minimalist lifestyle and organizing/de-cluttering your spaces. I understand the clutter and “stuff” around you can contribute to many different problems, stress being a huge one. I can support and help you develop an individualized plan of action for improving your health and emotional well-being by living a minimalist lifestyle.
Coaching does not follow a medical model, and no mental health evaluation or therapeutic treatments will be offered. Coaching is not therapy.
Wellness Coaching service options:
Journal/Email Entry: If you’re busy or not in the mood to chat, you can submit a journal entry about what’s on your mind, what you’re feeling, or what would like insight on. I will respond within 48 hours (typically before that) with helpful feedback.
Skype or Zoom: Virtual sessions can be scheduled from anywhere world-wide with Skype or Zoom.
Phone Calls: Sessions over the phone are offered if virtual options are not a good fit.

The distinction between “coaching” and “therapy” services are as follows:
A therapy client cannot transfer to coaching services, to avoid a dual relationship.
There will be no medical diagnosis offered.
There will be no medical record kept, but instead a basic file including general information and notes that will still be confidential.
If higher level of care is required, a referral or recommendations will be provided.
High risk concerns that are not appropriate for coaching level services:
Suicidal ideation
Self-harm
Substance abuse
Psychosis
I can provide virtual coaching services at your convenience. As a therapist, I cannot provide therapy services outside the states of Washington & Oregon, which is why my coaching services are primarily for people outside of these states. I can provide coaching services to anyone, anywhere, and I make the distinction between coaching and therapy to make sure you are well informed.
